When I saw the Quay Brothers' work in class, I was struck by the difference in color palette, lighting, and - AHHH why are its eyes glowing? -Ahem. What I mean to say is that the dark color palette, perspective on level with the faces of the demon dolls, jerky doll movement, and unsettling music all contribute to drag the viewer into the spooky world of the Quay Brothers.
