Sunday Night Football Open

The show open for Sunday Night Football is one of the most complex opens that I've seen on television because it involves so many different elements. The 1:45 open, which is changed from week to week depending on the game, seemlessly compines 3D animated elements and video elements that were shot on virtual set. The thing that amazes me is how many different shots there are in the video that utilize a virtual set. The open also does a great job using motion tracking for the 2D elements, like the lens flares and light streaks that were added.

From what I could find, the video was created by Iron Claw (http://ironclaw.la) and Troika Design Group (troika.tv), who designed the overall graphics package for Sunday Night Football.
